Nutmeg Truck Centers Announces New Line Of Mower Bodies - Nutmeg Landscaper XS Series
Hartford— 05/09/2019 — Nutmeg Truck Center in Hartford, the number one selling Isuzu dealer in New England, today announced the launch of a new series of mower bodies for the landscape and lawn care industry
“This is a purpose built, industry specific body, that we have developed with our manufacturing partner after decades of working with landscapers all over the country,” said Craig Judge, Director of Business Development, at Nutmeg.
While the concept of driving equipment in and out of a box truck isn’t new, the fact that these XS Series bodies are constructed entirely of aluminum is. In fact, the moniker XS stands for No Steel. The aluminum construction means the elimination of rusty steel and increases payload significantly. This allows some customers to purchase a lighter GVWR truck and carry the same payload, saving customers thousands of dollars. It also means better fuel economy. In all cases a win/win.
The Nutmeg Landscaper XS Series is available in two versions. The XS1 Enclosed and the XS2 Open. Both bodies can be installed on Isuzu N-series chassis in gas or diesel, regular and crew cab, and in a variety of lengths ranging from 14’-20’. Due to the volume of customers switching from pulling trailers to moving to a truck mounted solution, Nutmeg has been able to get the XS Series down to a price point at or below the pricing of a traditional body with steel understructure. It is a premium product without a premium price.
Founded in 1978, Nutmeg is an industry leader in medium and heavy-duty truck sales. Nutmeg is a proud dealer for Isuzu and International trucks with 6 locations across Connecticut and Massachusetts.
